Chef Assistant

 

Due to expansion we are seeking a suitably qualified individual to assist Chef Tomoko starting immediately. The incumbent ideally should have these qualities and perform these duties:

*     Graduated from culinary course / school or have strong interests in learning from Japanese pastry chef & passion to make beautiful, tasty pastries.

*     Fluent in English and Mandarin. Japanese fluency a bonus.

*     Possess pleasant personality.

*     Singapore Citizen or PR preferred but not requisite.

*     Must work swiftly and accurately.

*     Primary duties in the kitchen include but not limited to:

1.     finishing pastries for sale, preparation, baking and cleaning up after baking.

2.     decorating whole cakes, piping skills desired.

3.     washing soiled dishes, pans.

4.     cleaning of kitchen & equipment at end of work day and at intervals according to the cleaning schedule.

5.    assists in shopfront retail when needed.

 

Remuneration to commensurate with experience.

 

The working hours are from 8am to close of business day, six days a week, off day on a weekday.
